What, 2010 is over?!

So I am a bit behind with our family blog. Sorry for all you religious followers. :) A quick catch-up on the end happenings of 2010.

Thanksgiving was spent in Fallon without daddy. He once again had to work another holiday. (He worked Christmas too!) We were all excited to spend some time with Grandma Judy and Papa Joe when all of a sudden I was struck with the worse case of strep throat I have ever had. It laid me flat the whole time I was there. The Friday after turkey day I dragged myself with Papa's help to the ER to get a shot in the ol' booty. I wish I could say it did the job, but I was still out of it for almost a week. The thing that I was most grateful for was my family that week because they stepped up and took the kids and kept care of me. You are so loved for that!!

P.S. Dalton is still proud that he actually ate mash potatoes. :) The kiddos had a ball.
December 5th celebrated a BIG day with Dalton's 10th birthday! He was bummed because he didn't get is PSP like he wanted, but he did get a party at Telescope Lanes with his buddies and cousins. (The PSP had to be returned because Grandma Barb & Grandpa Joe got it for him for Christmas) I am still amazed when I look at Drew's and my son. He is maturing and learning to control his emotions better. More importantly he amazes me with his knowledge of really who he is . . . a child of God. It makes my heart sing knowing that he knows what really matters here on this earth. :)
WE BELIEVE! It was off to Heber City, UT for the North Pole Express with Nana Doris. It was a slushy, wet, snowy mess, but we made a memory. I got sick on the train and Dalton was mad because he didn't get to swim at the hotel that night, since we drove back to Park City. We did get to sing some Christmas carols, sip on cocoa, receive a snowflake ornament, and see the jolly ol' man himself. The highlight from the kids point of view though was when they did get to go swimming and when we stopped in Wendover at the buffet. Xandry & Brook wanted to move into the casino since it "was just so beautiful." (Do you have dumb found faces on your face too?) Doris and I have decided that next time we will just go to a casino with a buffet and a pool and the kids will be thrilled.
Christmas was spent here in Elko with Nana. We had our traditional ham Christmas Eve dinner at our house with Uncle Dennis, Aunt Vera, and cousin Candace! We spent Christmas dinner at the firehouse with a prime rib and all the other guys' and gal's family. I have to admit, it is fun even though it isn't the fine china and decked out meal that I am used to at my momma's! Though I am so glad that we won't have to do another Christmas for 6 years there! The other crews get that now :)
The kids got what they wanted, except for Miss Xandry. She asked for a DSI, but Santa knew that she had a DS already and found something else that was even more fitting, a karaoke machine. Man has that machine had some use!
Anthon just loved climbing over all the pretty presents. He did get his ride and push firetruck though!
Brook wanted Dora jammies, a crib for her babies, and lip gloss.
Our gamer. Dalton had his head stuck to his PSP. I didn't see him for weeks. jk :)
