Lucky March!

March is filled with some special birthdays in our family; our two youngest kiddos!

Anthon celebrated his BIG 1, at home with just our family on March 13th. Lucky for Drew and me, he didn't ask for much. :) We celebrated with a baseball cupcake cake and some small presents. His favorite gift though came from Auntie Rene, his helicopter!

The siblings had a ball placing his ribbon on his head and watching Anthon do the head bob trying to get it off. He did look pretty adorable with it on and trying to get it off.
Anthon only wanted to squish his cake not eat it. (Just another thing like Daddy. The eating cake part that is.)
Brookie turned 4 on St. Patrick's Day and insisted that she have a "Candy Birthday" She was very direct in what she wanted: to make candy houses and necklaces, have lots of candy, and eat spaghetti! She celebrated with her boyfriend Bradock Johnston (her words), Allie Hritz, Reese Jones, and Dianna Howe. All her best friends.Brook was a bit of a pill the weeks previous to her birthday. She would often tell her siblings, friends, and yes even her parents that they couldn't come to her birthday party because they didn't do what she wanted. (How I got another spirited child I will never know.) :)

No matter how spirited these wonderful gifts from heaven are, I am sure glad that Drew and I have been in trusted with them. I could not imagine our lives without BrookLynn and Anthon. I only have a small glimpse on what our Heavenly Father must feel for each one of us. The love will always be there no matter what they do or say.

Being that it was St. Patrick's Day the silly leprechaun hit our house again, sending the kiddos on another scavenger hunt. The kids were hoping that he would come again and spoke about last year's scavenger hunt for a month prior!

They got some great little treats from our little tricky friend like: gum, bath bubbles, a bad mitten set, and a bottle sucker pop. Let's hope the Leprechaun and keep this up. I am not sure he knew what he was getting into. Then again, he probably knows that he won't get to have fun like this with these kiddos for much longer and just wants to enjoy the smiles, laughter, and anticipation while it lasts.
