Dalton's BIG Week!

I have an artist in my family. Uncle Charley you would be proud, too bad you're in Australia! Dalton's artwork was chosen for Cowboy Poetry and was displayed in the Western Folklife Center during the festivities. Last week we were able to go and take a look at all the work and he was awarded an official Cowboy Poetry Pin. Each year they only make one pin and I guess they become valuable. (I would know that if I was a Cowboy Poetry buff :)
Dalton had his first baseball practice for minor leagues on his new team "Bulldogs". Though he said he wanted to do baseball his actions show a different story out on the field. He is my day dreamer and often likes to put on his own show for everyone who may get bored like he does sitting in outfield. Drew's working with him at home, but he is still a bit jumpy when the ball comes to him. I am looking forward to summer again so he can do swim team. He loves that!

Dalton then performed in his 3rd grade Music Program. He did a wonderful job singing and grooving to songs that inspire thinking and trusting in your smartness! I still can't believe that he is on the downward slope of 3rd grade. It amazes me.
When viewing the video you will need to pause "Our Play List" to listen to Dalton and his fellow 3rd graders sing. Sorry for the jumpiness, Brook was shaking my arm.
