NOTHING!!

So, here I am almost 38 weeks and I am still pregnant! Now most of you might say, "RayLynn you're supposed to be pregnant until 40 weeks." All I have to say is that, I NEVER HAVE!

Anthon just wants to hang in there I guess. I swore that I was going to have this baby last weekend when I went to my appointment at the beginning of the month and they said that I was dilated to a 1. Well . . . the weekend passed and no baby. So this past Tuesday when they said I was dilated to a 4 and 50% effaced I for sure thought, "Anytime now!"

I am still saying those words, even after nights of contractions that were 5 minutes apart for 3 hours and then NOTHING. This has been happening quite a bit, and just when I think I am going to tell Drew they stop as if they never existed.

Wednesday day and night I again thought "There is no way that I can make it another day." Drew called his mom. Doris came and no longer had she walked in that door that everything stopped. I had even gotten my sub lined up. I have stayed home for 2 days now and NOTHING. Actually, today has been a bit more progressive. I have felt allot more pressure and back pain. I am glad Doris is still here because Drew went back to work this morning and won't return until Sunday morning. Chief Kightlinger said that he has the red ambulance on call for me and he will have Drew and me at the hospital in no time. Let's pray I won't need that. I don't really need Drew's whole crew up in my business, if you know what I mean. :)

Hopefully the next post will have pictures of a precious little boy, who is not going to be too huge. Dalton was 8 pounds 11 oz between 37-38 weeks and Brook was 7 pounds at 36 weeks. I am nervous!

Hang in there. I totally know what you are feeling. It's hard those last few weeks. But well worth it in the end! Can't wait to see pictures of the new sweetie!

I feel your pain! Baby #4 was born on his due date. A first for me after 3 babies came 2 & 3 weeks early! Not as early as yours, but you have a certain mindset after a bit of experience. :). Hang in there. His birth will be perfect for him and you. Sorry to hear about your mom, we will keep her in our prayers.
