Christmas Bells are Ringing . . . Or is That My Head?

Christmas has come and gone and yes, my head seems to literally be ringing. It was a fire cracker of a time with us actually attending 4 Christmases. Not to be confused with the movie, but very similar in many areas. Hee Hee.

The first Christmas was with the Fire Department, where we ate like champs and the kiddos were able to get presents from the firemen. BrookLynn chucked her vacuum and stole some little boys truck. That is why we call her BRUTIS. Fun times were had with laughing and visiting. No calls thankfully.

The 2nd Christmas was spent with Grandma Barb and Grandpa Joe here at the house where the boys were loaded up with guns that were passed down from Grandpa Joe. Dalton received Grandpa's first gun. Special times. Me, I received a gun safe! Very much needed.

The 3rd Christmas was spent in Fallon. A beautiful play of the nativity was written by my nephew Dillon and acted out by all the Nevada cousins and little Hammer girls. We have many thespians in our family. Aunt Nay Nay had a delicious dinner prepared and a fun gift exchange ended the night with most everyone being happy except for Uncle Corey who got jipped with smelly candles. What every man wishes for I am sure.

The 4th Christmas was with Nana Doris and Jim in Winnemucca. Crab was the big hit among the kiddos and us adults. BrookLynn was the cutest when she got so excited over Nana's clothes. She had to put them all on, right then and there. Dalton ended this trip with another gun given to him by Great Grandpa Joe.

I should also add that we had our regular Christmas at our house with Uncle Dennis, Aunt Vera, and their gang. It was fun this year because they brought their significant others as well as the newest little cousin, James, who is 3 months.

No big hoopla for the New Year. I went to Winnemucca to pick up a car and Drew helped his brother Dennis and Vera move into their very cute house. I ended up bringing dinner over to them all. We were in bed by 10:30 after all was said and done. Very exciting, I know.

We are very grateful for the past 2008 year! We had great health, a new career, and some fun kid moments that were all given to us by our Heavenly Father. We are blessed!

You want pizza? OK! I can do that, no problem, although I am not going to be working there after the end of the month. I am going to be teaching piano again...more info to come.
